James T. Meiring DDS A native of Minster and a 1980 graduate of Minster High School Dr. Meiring earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Bowling Green State University in 1984 and graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1988. Immediately after graduation, Dr. Meiring moved back to Minster and joined the family practice of Dr. James Overman and Minster Dental Care was formed. Dr. Meiring is a member in the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, Northwest Ohio Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentists. Dr. Meiring resides in Minster with his wife Vicki, son Brett and daughter Taylor. Shawn M. Sharp, DDS A native of Minster and a graduate of Minster Local High School, Dr. Sharp earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Wright State University and graduated from the Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine in 1997. Dr. Sharp is a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Northwest Dental Society and the Chicago Dental Society. He has advanced his dental career with such mentors as Dr. Rosh Nash of the Nash Institute, Dr Frank Spears of the Seattle Institute of Advanced Dental Training, Dr. Bill Strupp of the Strupp Post Graduate School of Dentistry and Cosmedent's Center for Esthetic Excellence. Dr. Sharp is passionate about implant therapy, and continues to advance his training in this area. Socially, he is a member of the Minster Civic Association, the K of C and the Minster Eagles. His is past president of the South West Auglaize Chamber of commerce and the St. Augustine Parish Council. He is the charter representative for the Minster Boy Scouts and has volunteered time with the varsity football and track programs of Minster. Dr. Sharp resides in Minster with his wife Deborah and their three children.
James L. Overman DDS A native of Minster and a graduate of Minster High School, Dr. Overman earned his B.S. from the University of Dayton in 1964 and graduated from The Ohio State College of Dentistry in 1968. After serving two years in the U.S. Army Dental Corps he started his private practice in St. Marys, Ohio in 1971. Upon completing a one year general anesthesia residency at University Hospital, Ohio State University in 1975, Dr. Overman returned to Minster, Ohio. In 1976 he began his family dental practice there and has continued practicing dentistry and is now associated with Minster Dental Care group practice. Memberships in the American Dental Association, American Orthodontic Society, International Association of Orthodontics, American Academy of Gnathologic Orthopedics, American Academy of Functional Orthodontics, and Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry are but a few of the organizations to which he belongs. With a special interest in orthopedics/orthodontics Dr. Overman began accumulating numerous hours of continuing education as early as 1978 and has now devoted most of his practice to this area. He is married with three daughters and two grandchildren and resides in the Minster area.
